Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is an FDA-cleared, noninvasive approach to helping your skin look younger and firmer. Without needles or incisions, this treatment offers all the benefits of a nonsurgical facelift, tightening and smoothing saggy, tired skin.

Using specialized ultrasound technology, Ultherapy stimulates the growth of new tissue and collagen in the deepest layers of the skin. Without breaking the top layer of skin, your cells are stimulated to regenerate and collagen production increased, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles of the face and chest.

What areas can be treated using Ultherapy?

Signs of aging can extend past the face to the neck and chest. Areas that have been FDA-cleared to be treated using Ultherapy include:

  • Face
  • Brow
  • Chin
  • Chest
  • Neck

This revolutionary treatment allows for even treatment beyond just your face, helping your results appear more natural and making you look younger overall.

Am I a good candidate for Ultherapy?

You may be a good candidate for Ultherapy treatments if you are 30 or older and are generally in good health.

You may also be a good candidate if you:

  • Have loose or sagging skin of the face, neck, or chin
  • Have lines or wrinkles on your chest
  • Aren’t emotionally, mentally, or financially ready for a surgical facelift

For some, this treatment is used in order to slow the early signs of aging and prevent progression of lines and wrinkles before they are more difficult to treat.

What does an Ultherapy treatment entail?

Initially, your consultation with Dr. Zaka includes a physical assessment and discussion about your goals for your skin and overall appearance. She creates a treatment plan, which may include more than one Ultherapy treatment, depending on the degree of saggy or relaxed skin you may have.

Your treatment should take about an hour, and there is no downtime. While each person experiences the treatment differently, there is usually no pain or discomfort.

Your best results are seen between three and six months after treatment. As time passes, your body generates more collagen and new tissue, and your skin starts to look younger and younger.
