How SculpSure Can Contour Your Body

When you’re shedding pounds, your hormones and genetics may make your body hold onto fat in certain areas. Unfortunately, exercise doesn’t enable you to target specific fat deposits, as it can only increase lean mass in targeted areas.
There’s a solution to this problem: Sculpsure is a noninvasive, laser treatment that can get rid of fat in a way that calorie restriction and exercise can’t.
Our expert at Medical Aesthetics & Laser, Dr. Safoora Zaka, uses SculpSure to reduce fat on the bellies, backs, love handles, and thighs of her patients. To help you out, we asked Dr. Zaka to explain how laser treatments reduce fat tissue and what results you can expect.
How SculpSure reduces fat tissues
Dr. Zaka uses SculpSure to heat up fat cells and destroy them. Fat cells are sensitive to heat, making it possible to kill fat cells without causing damage to the skin or the surrounding tissues.
The handle used to deliver laser technology also has a built-in cooling system, preventing the device from getting too hot.
Once the fat cells are destroyed, your lymphatic system eliminates them within a few weeks. Fat cells don’t regenerate, so the results are permanent.
What happens during and after a SculpSure procedure
Treatments with SculpSure last approximately 25 minutes. During this time, Dr. Zaka places a specialized belt on the targeted area. This belt emits laser energy and heat throughout the duration of the treatment.
Although you may feel some tingling and discomfort, you won’t feel any pain. Many of our patients read the latest news or watch videos on their smartphones during the treatment.
After the treatment, you’re free to return to your typical day-to-day routine. For optimal results, you may need to wait 12 weeks until all of the dead fat cells are completely eliminated by your lymphatic system.
Who is the right candidate for SculpSure treatments?
SculpSure treatments aren’t intended for weight-loss, as you still need to eat a healthy diet and remain active to maintain your results. However, the treatment can help people who have a body mass index of 30 or less and stubborn pockets of fat.
If you’re interested in learning more about what kind of results SculpSure can yield and determining whether you’re a good candidate for the treatment, contact us to schedule an appointment. Dr. Zaka is happy to answer all of your questions and advise you on what treatments and procedures can help you achieve your desired results.
